Week in Review: Skeptics to Being Busy

This week I wanted to put a little more focus on reaching out as Christians. I shared about dealing with those who are critical and skeptical; the challenge in witnessing to such and handling debates when they arise. I also wrote about the harvest of souls ready for a savior, giving your all, and making time for God.

  • In Skeptics and Critics: The Challenge, I talked about some of the challenging questions asked by those who are skeptical of Christianity. The Bible tells us we should have an answer for the hope that is in us so it's important we know why we believe the way we do. My hope with this blog was people would begin thinking of answers to of some of these tough questions asked so they might be ready to share them when the time comes.
  • Jesus gave His all for us. The least we can give Him is our all; the best we know how. When I wrote, Giving One-Hundred Percent, I wanted to make a point about giving our all in marriage too. I don't believe we can out-give God.

  • The Bible tells us that the harvest is plenty though there doesn't seem to be enough workers showing up for the job. The Harvest Time is now. Where are you called? In this blog I give some examples of ways we can reach out to others. People needing a savior are all around us! I hope you'll check out this blog and pray about where the Lord may be calling you.
  • Skeptics and Critics: Debating was the second blog I completed in the "skeptics" series. Debating can be fun and enlightening, but it can also be destructive and discouraging. When getting into debate with someone who does not agree with you, it's likely you won't get far without finding some common ground. In this blog I share some suggestions and on handling debates whether you want to be in them or not as well as Biblical scripture. I am really no expert on this issue, but have found a few things that work.
  • Though you may never say it out loud, perhaps your actions are saying, "Sorry God, I'm Just Too Busy." I find myself in this position of putting God on the back burner, so to speak, while I do things I feel like doing at the moment. In this blog I share about putting priorities back into perspective.
