How Much Proof?

by Dale Harcombe

08 May 2009 03:53 PM

The key to receiving anything from God is believing. The key to eternal life is no different. It comes down to believing. Jesus will return and believers will live, John 5:25. The opposite is also true. Those who choose not to believe God and take Him at His Word, will be judged, John 5:28-29.

Who is Jesus?

Many people want to insist Jesus was a good man or a prophet. This is not what the bible teaches. The bible teaches: Jesus is 'the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God,' John 1:1.

by Dale Harcombe

Why don't we need signs and wonders to prove where we stand with God? Won't they make us more spiritual or a better class of Christian? No. Because God has given us all we need for the Christian life Colossians tells us.

Do you think Jesus was an only child? The idea that Jesus had no half-brothers or half-sisters is a common misconception. This idea has been spread, in part, because some felt that it was necessary that Mary remain a perpetual virgin. However, this teaching is contrary to the Bible.

by Melissa J

As I begin the third part to the "Who is Jesus?" series, you might be wondering where the Trinitarian or Triune beliefs come from if God is one. 1 John 5:7 says, "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

by Melissa J

This is the second part of the series on "Who is Jesus?" The book of John really shows who Christ is so I'd like to examine some of the scriptures. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

by Melissa J

I am going to begin a short series on who Jesus is. One of the most disheartening things I hear is when other people who are said to be Christians have a misconception of who Jesus Christ is.
