Recent Christian Blog PostsThe Value of Conversationsby Dale Harcombe03 Feb 2010 08:10 PMSomething struck me yesterday while doing a spell check after writing an article. I'd meant to write 'conversation' but because I'm the world worst typist - dyslexic fingers, it came out not even close. As a result spell check suggested I meant 'conversion.' But that error actually made me think. We See Differentlyby Dale Harcombe26 Jan 2010 07:32 PMLast week someone challenged me about what I wrote for this blog. Unless I misread his comment he seemed to suggest that because Christ died for all, we all had the same destiny - of heaven. The way I read it, that's not what the bible, which is my authority, says. Some Good People Are Not Going to Heavenby Dale Harcombe19 Jan 2010 04:20 PMSome good people are not going to go to heaven. That's what God says. Take a look at John 3:17-18 and you'll see that God has laid down the criteria of what it takes to get into heaven and it's not what many of us expect. And it's hard. How to Conquer Fearby Dale Harcombe12 Jan 2010 02:07 PMFear can stop us achieving our potential. It can stop us trying new things. You Could Make a Differenceby Dale Harcombe15 Dec 2009 02:38 PMIt's that time of year where churches get lots of visitors. Some come with family members over Christmas. Others are on holidays. Still others do their annual church visit to a carols or a Christmas service. Ever Wonder Why You Bother?by Dale Harcombe08 Dec 2009 03:32 PMDo you ever wonder why you bother? Sometimes I do? And it's usually when things don't turn out the way I expect. I suspect some of you are no different. We go into a situation, we pray for guidance and we have our own ideas of how we want God to answer the prayer. That had been my case.
