I just received word yesterday from Dale's dear husband, that she has fallen and broken her elbow. She will be spending time recuperating from the surgery she needed and will be off of the computer and keyboard for awhile.

Sometimes we chaff at how long it takes for things to happen, for God to answer our prayers. In the life of a writer a lot of time is spent waiting. Waiting for characters to be fleshed out. Of course we may still be writing at the same time and getting to know our characters.

Some people use age as an excuse to opt out of becoming involved and helping others. Our local paper recently ran a story about an 87 year old man, Cyril Brown. Unlike some today, his main focus has never been on earning a living and looking after his own best interests.

Yesterday we looked at Proverbs 30:5-6. Today we'll look at Proverbs 30:7-9, where the writer asks two things of God. The first is: 'Keep falsehood and lies far from me.' This could be read as keep me from telling lies to others. We often want to grade lies.
